Kimberly G. Latigue, LCSW

Kimberly Latigue California Therapist

I am a licensed therapist who has provided mental health services to individuals, families, couples and groups in a variety of settings spanning the course of the past 10+ years. This work includes residential substance abuse treatment for women in Marin and for teens in Santa Rosa.

My outpatient work includes a graduate internship with Kaiser behavioral health working on both the adult AND children and family teams where I helped lead a parenting group. I also provided services at Bethsaida Counseling where I worked with fathers to help them learn improved communication skills with their partners and children.

In addition, I have worked with Seneca Family of Agencies to treat youth with severe emotional disturbances in a non-public school setting by intervening with both students and families. While the Shelter- in- Place orders were in effect during the Covid 19 pandemic, I developed a virtual group for teens to gather and have a safe space to connect with one another. Since then, I have continued working virtually through tele-health platforms to treat communication challenges for couples and parents in addition to various depressive and anxiety disorders in younger and middle-aged adults. I obtained my BA Economics from University of California, Berkeley and Master’s in Social Work from California State University, East Bay.

I am committed to helping those in relationships learn tools for healing resentments, decreasing negative interactions, and increasing authentically positive interactions with one another. My work focuses on examining and dismantling the elements of negative interactions in order to make space for meaningful positive connections, growth and change. I want you to do more than simply stay in your current relationship. My goal is for you to experience joy, peace, and authentic connections! Change is possible and I’m here to support you.

For individual clients, I offer support towards helping you to better understand how you connect with others; provide tools to more effectively express your desires; build confidence, heal past traumas, and improve self love so that you may engage in all of your relationships in a more satisfying way.

I am a happily married mother of three and I personally understand the challenges that come with creating and sustaining joy, peace and understanding within a relationship. I am passionate about supporting others with finding and sustaining joy within their relationships and themselves as I have found within my life.
